Coiled Tubing refers to a very long metal pipe, normally 1 to 3.25 in (25 to 83 mm) in diameter which is supplied spooled on a large reel. It is used in pushing down tools in highly deviated wells where gravity will be insufficient as a conveyance means. It is also used in circulation and deliquification.
Coiled Tubing is used in pumping; this process disperses fluid to specific location in a well such as for cementing perforation or performing chemical washes of downhole components such as sand screen.
